Twin Babies’ FAQs

We reached out to Smadar to help with our twins sleeping schedule, naps and nights. She is lovely and really listened to what we needed and felt comfortable with. There were a lot of little tweaks that really helped us. Now, for the first time in 8 months we have a routine and are getting plenty of sleep. I am no longer dreading naps and nighttime!

  • Separation helps twins develop a strong sense of identity outside their twinship. You can read more a bout it in my Separation blog post

    1. Cots: In the first 3 months, the twins can share a cot without disturbing each other.

Later, there are different ways to set up the cots depending on the twins' age. You can see detailed set-ups in my blog post on this exact topic.

    2. Light: Ensure the room is dark enough to help your babies settle to sleep faster, and to re-settle when they wake up too early. If you can read a book in the room, it ain't dark enough.

    3. Toys: Keep toys and mobiles out of the cots. These can become too distracting wen settling the babies to sleep.

    4. White noise: using white noise for all sleeps will help your twins settle faster, and stay asleep.

  • Sleep training with twins can feel somewhat overwhelming. Yet as a twin sleep consultant, I can help you achieve your sleep goals. You can read more about this in my blog post "Sleep train or not, with twins?"

  • Sleep consultation can be delivered remotely, or in person at your home.

It depends on the package you purchase.

  • During our consultation, I will learn about your parenting style, babies and family's needs, and suggest the settling method I feel best suit you, your babies and your family.

  • That is exactly what the follow-up phone calls are for. If the sleep programme doesn't feel right for you or your babies once we start working together, I will adjust it accordingly and make sure you feel comfortable with all the changes.

  • If you feel you need more support, you can purchase an additional 1 follow-up support week for $41USD once the sleep programme is finished.

  • The biggest variable for determining whether a sleep training programme will work well or not, is parents' consistency.

If you remain consistent during our work together, then the sleep programme will definitely work.
